Triangle Y Recreational Aquatics (TYRA)

Triangle Y Recreational Aquatics Masters (TYRA) is a chapter of the large state club, North Carolina Masters Swimming (NCMS). Team members who compete within the state swim for TYRA, and outside the state for NCMS.

There is a Triangle YMCA website however, there are no specifics yet on the Masters Program.

25-yd, 6-lanes, indoor pool (no bubble, actual structure)

Practice Times

Tuesday-Thursday 630-730 PM, Saturday 815-930 AM, Sunday 115-230PM

Costs

Registration - $30 for USMS/LMSC yearly fee. Click to find registration forms on this web site to register with TYRA.
Monthly Charges - Monthly fees depend on type of YMCA membership (single, family, Triangle Wide). Please contact Triangle Y for membership information. No additional monthly fees for TYRA masters practices.

Pool Location and Directions

Downtown Durham YMCA, 215 Morgan Street, Durham, NC, (919) 667-9622, Please call front desk for directions. Free onsite parking.

The Downtown YMCA Family Center is located on the corner of Morgan and Foster Streets. It is adjacent to the Marriott Hotel located downtown Durham on Foster Street.

From I-85 North, take exit #177A towards Durham/Downtown. Turn right onto N. Roxboro St./US-15 BR S/US-501 BR S. Continue to follow US-15 BR S/US-501 BR S. Turn right onto W. Morgan St.
