1. Do I have to re-register with RAM even though I am already a member?
A. Yes, members are required to re-register with USMS and RAM every year –
we are now utilizing Club Assistant’s registration format.
The Club Assistant registration is quick and easy and should take you less than 10 minutes.
2. Will I be able to pay my dues monthly, quarterly, or annually?
A. Yes! The Club Assistant software offers members all those features.
3. When will my credit card be charged if I choose to pay dues monthly?
A. Your card will be charged on the 5th business day of each month.
4. I am a student and am eligible for the reduced monthly rate of $23 per month. Can I still register via Club Assistant?
A. Yes! Select the standard registration on the Club Assistant form,
then immediately email or fax a copy of your student ID and planned graduation date to
RAM Treasurer Nicole Silvernail, nsilvernail@nc.rr.com or 919-882-8947.
Nicole will confirm your discounted rate once she receives your registration and student ID.
5. What if I do not have a VISA or MasterCard credit/debit card?
A. Contact RAM Treasurer Nicole Silvernail, nsilvernail@nc.rr.com to discuss payment options.
6. What happens if I decide to stop swimming with RAM?
A. Notify RAM Treasurer Nicole Silvernail, nsilvernail@nc.rr.com prior to the 1st of the
month that you decide to stop swimming. You will be changed to an ‘Inactive’ swimmer status
in the Club Assistant software. Your name will no longer appear on the RAM pool sign-in sheets – if you show up to swim, you should sign in at the bottom of the sheets. Should you decide to join us again, we will change your status back to ‘active’, your name will appear on the sign-in sheets and dues will once again be charged for the months in which you swim. The Treasurer will automatically reactivate your status through review of the monthly sign in sheets or upon your request.
You will be charged your monthly rate for the month in which you returned and then subsequent months.
7. What happens if I decide to stop swimming for three months due to business, travel or personal reasons?
A. Notify RAM Treasurer Nicole Silvernail, nsilvernail@nc.rr.com prior to the 1st of the month that
you decide to stop swimming. You will be changed to an ‘Inactive’ swimmer status in the Club Assistant software.

8. What happens if I have prepaid dues for the quarter/year and am unable to swim for several months
dues to business, travel or personal reasons?
A. Dues will no longer be able to be carried over from year to year.
As a 501(c)3 charitable organization, any dues overages in a calendar will be
credited to your account as a tax deductible charitable contribution as of December 31 of that calendar year.
In extraordinary situations, such as severe financial hardship or significant health problems,
special accommodations may be made. Contact RAM Treasurer Nicole Silvernail, nsilvernail@nc.rr.com to discuss.
9. What if I am currently a USMS swimmer registered to swim with RAM but, due to my location,
am unable to swim at practice regularly?
A. Register to swim with RAM; enter your credit card information and notify RAM Treasurer Nicole Silvernail, nsilvernail@nc.rr.com that you wish to be an inactive swimmer. Your credit card will be charged only for the times that you swim on a per-swim basis as is defined in current RAM Policy, not to exceed $45 per month in swims. Swimmers should note that they are a registered inactive RAM swimmer when they write in their name on the sign in sheet.
