NCMS Results of the One Hour Postal National Championships
By Greta van Meeteren

A huge number of swimmers (2493) participated in the 2013 One Hour Postal National Championships. 21 of those (10 women and 11 men) were from North Carolina.

This was the first of the postal national championships, of which there are 5 each year. Together with the 6 National Open Water Championships, they form the big 11 long distance events from which the National Long Distance All Stars are selected by points scored.

In North Carolina we have recognized the top scorers in these championships with an "Outstanding Long Distance / Open Water Swimmer of the Year" award for the past 2 years. We will do so again this year. To earn said award, a swimmer needs to collect the highest number of points from these events. Unlike for the All Star scoring, there is no requirement within NC to swim open water as well as pool long distance events. However, the more high scores you collect, the bigger your chances are.

Below is a table with the NCMS results from the One Hour Postal Championship.
